4-Point questions

When do I need a 4-Point inspection?

Most Florida insurers, including Citizens, require a 4-Point on homes that are about 25 to 30 years or older before writing or renewing a policy.

What fails a 4-Point inspection?

Common problems are roofs near the end of their life, Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels, aluminum branch wiring, polybutylene plumbing, and active leaks. I'll tell you on site if I see something an insurer is likely to flag.

Do you look up permits?

Yes. I pull roof, A/C, electrical and water heater permits from the county or city so the update years on your form are documented.

Need a report for your insurance company?

Most wind mitigation and 4-Point reports are delivered within 24 hours of the inspection.
